Privacy, in plain language.
Burk is operated by Monterey AI Labs, LLC. We use your website address or business description to create designs and a working website. Your generated preview can be opened by anyone who has its link.
Service logs
We store request times, page paths, approximate country or region, browser information, anonymous visitor and session identifiers, generation progress and errors, and subscription status. These logs help us keep Burk working and understand which steps need improvement. Logs are stored in Supabase with access restricted to our team. We do not log raw prompts, passwords, payment card details, or raw IP addresses in this event database. Your IP address is used briefly to enforce generation limits.
Optional session recordings
PostHog reconstructs your interactions on Burk, including clicks, scrolling, page changes, and selected generation or checkout events. Recordings use an anonymous identifier that can be matched with our service logs. It does not use your camera or microphone. Your submitted website address and business description are visible in recordings. Other input fields are masked. Network request bodies, headers, console messages, and URL query strings are excluded. Stripe checkout is excluded. Embedded generated websites may not be visible in playback. Recording is on by default. You can turn it off below and continue using Burk; existing opt-outs are respected.
Advertising measurement
We use the Meta Pixel on Burk’s homepage, website reveal, and checkout confirmation pages to measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta receives page visits and design, checkout, and confirmed subscription events, and may use cookies and browser or device information to associate these events with your Meta account. We do not include your prompts, typed business information, or payment card details in our event parameters. This advertising measurement is separate from optional PostHog session recording. See Meta’s privacy policy and manage advertising preferences in your Meta account.
Payments and AI providers
Stripe securely handles billing details. Anthropic’s Claude Code creates your website using your business description or your existing website’s rendered content, code, images, and screenshots. Capture and generation run on Modal and Daytona infrastructure. These providers receive the content necessary to deliver the service. Temporary generation diagnostics are retained for up to 48 hours. A new website has a 24-hour preview; a subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, then renews at $5 per month unless canceled. Returning subscriptions may not qualify for another trial.
Your choices
Manage or cancel your subscription from the website dashboard, or sign in to secure billing with your billing email. For questions or requests about your data, contact [email protected].
